Ragnarok Begins’ plot starts when a conflict arises in Midgard as Pope Arunafeltz disappears from their place. Due to this, the worshippers of the pope or Freyja’s followers and the worshippers of Odin in the Kingdom of Rune-Migarts are having tension. With this, it’s up to you to investigate the disappearance of the pope and unravel the mysteries of the open-world game setting, Midgard. 

It has four pre-made classes, each with their key skills: Swordsman, Archer, Mage, and Acolyte. Swordsman’s key skills are power strike, endurance, and sweep. Although it can also handle any type of weapon. While Archer’s weapon, an arc, can kill 10 enemies with just three shots. Meanwhile, Mage possesses flame impact, fire wall, and wind gust. Moreover, Acolytes are known as exorcists whose skills are holy light, recovery, and blessing. 

The game features a side-scrolling mechanic as you accomplish your mission as a player. Here, you need to fight off enemies as you find out the reason why your pope is nowhere to be found. You need to defeat epic creatures until you can unlock the four classes mentioned above. However, as the game provides pre-made characters or classes, players cannot create their own characters, making it not ideal for players who prefer building their own characters.
